“I’ll waste my time if I want to. That’s none of your business!” Charlotte retorted. Her fists clenched, her breaths

Richard took a deep breath, struggling to keep his impatience and frustration in check. He managed a smile, “I
can’t tell you what to do, Charlotte, but it’s a shame to see you pining over him. You’re beautiful, accomplished, and
the lady of the prestigious Ravensong family. You deserve a better future.”
Richard was genuinely concerned for Charlotte, hence his candid advice about which life path she should choose
