She wanted to say no. However, looking into those eyes that seemed capable of seeing through
people, Marion swallowed her words. “Yeah.”
“I’ll have the family doctor come over. You wait here.”
“What about your flight…?”
Lucas looked at the person in front of him and suddenly burst into laughter. “You can’t take care of
yourself, yet you’re worried about me?”
“Sorry.”
Marion lowered her head, overwhelmed with guilt.
