Chapter 596 Avery Deserves To Know The Truth

Biological mother? Avery felt her heart thumping violently. While staring at Cayden intently, she asked, “Are you

saying that my biological mother is in Ackleton? H-Have you found her?”

Avery had lived in agony every day when she thought she and Cayden were siblings. Eventually, she figured Allie

wasn't her biological mother and did a DNA test with Cayden.

Although she had found out that she wasn't related to Cayden by blood, she still hoped to find her biological mother

because she yearned for maternal love.

Despite that, she had been keeping it to herself.

Cayden looked back at Avery with his dark and determined eyes. “I've indeed found your biological mother. In fact,

you've also seen her a few times before.”

He caressed her cheek and saw the anticipation and surprise in her eyes. On the other hand, one could hardly see

emotions in his, but Avery sensed hesitation.

That was because Cayden was indeed hesitating.

Once Avery finds out who her biological mother is, many things will be revealed, including the unforgivable act my

mom committed. What if Avery hates me after she finds out about the truth? What if Claire objects to our

relationship? After all, I can't expect a mother to accept that her child was swapped with a stillborn child. More

importantly, Claire almost went mad due to the pain of losing her child. Besides, I have a history with Nicole. Any

Right then, Avery reached out and rubbed Cayden's frown away. “If I've found my biological mother, you should be

happy for me, no? Why are you frowning?”

Cayden hugged her and uttered in a deeper and hoarser voice than before, “You have no idea how complicated

your background is. I'm worried you will leave me after finding out about the truth. I'm afraid of losing you.”

Avery looked at him in bafflement and teased, “Why do you make my background sound so scary? I can't help

feeling uneasy now. Cayden, I promise I won't leave you after discovering who my biological mother is, okay?”

Cayden gazed at her silently and pushed her dark hair to the back, revealing her fair neck.

On the lower part of her neck, he saw the hickey he had given her the day before.

His gaze softened. However, he was still keeping mum.

Avery was eager to know more about her biological mother, so she asked, “Who's my biological mother? You said

I've seen her before, right? Is she one of my clients? Or...”

Cayden tensed up when he heard that.

I know Avery and Claire look similar, but I never thought they were mother and daughter. Meanwhile, my mom

played a despicable role in their relationship. If Avery finds out my mom is responsible for her miserable

background, she will hate her. At the same time, Claire isn't on good terms with Avery because of what happened

between Nicole and me. I know Avery has always been insecure throughout her life, so she needs to be loved. Yet,

her mother-in-law and biological mother are keeping her at bay for their own reasons. What if Avery can't take it?

Nonetheless, Avery deserves to know the truth.

Cayden stroked Avery's hair, walked toward his safety deposit box, and opened it. He took out a few documents and

gave them to Avery. “Here's the truth. You'll understand everything once you've gone through them.”

Avery took the papers from Cayden. Although there were only a few sheets of paper, she couldn't help but feel the

immense weight the content carried.

She went through the documents thoroughly.

The more she read, the deeper her frown became, and she was gripping the documents so tightly that creases

were left behind.

Upon going through every word in the documents, Avery calmly placed the documents on the table and flashed

Cayden a smile. “So, Claire is my biological mother, and your mother brought this upon us, right?”

Cayden took a deep breath, clenched his fist, and unclenched them. “Yes.”

Initially, Cayden didn't want to tell Avery the truth because he knew Avery and his mother were already on bad

terms. He was worried that Avery would hate his mother even more.

However, Cayden also knew that nothing would stay hidden forever, and it was wrong to keep things from Avery.

At that moment, Avery was in shock.

Needless to say, she was in disbelief when she found out that Claire was her biological mother. Although she was

also filled with excitement, she forced herself to stay calm. No wonder I've always felt an inexplicable sense of

kinship seeing Claire. It turns out she's my mother!

Avery's heart was filled with warmth when she recalled Claire's affectionate gaze when Claire presented the prizes

to Zachary and Rory.

“I don't get it. Why did your mom send me to the Rumpley family discreetly?” Avery was confused.

Cayden shook his head in response. With an inexplicable sense of melancholy, he replied, “I don't know. I'll bring

you back to the Moore residence tomorrow. We need to ask her.”

Avery sensed that Cayden's mood had obviously become gloomy, so she suppressed her own emotions and asked

gently, “Did you hesitate to tell me because you knew what your mother did?”

Cayden avoided her gaze and sighed silently. “Yes.”

Avery turned his head toward her and looked into his gleaming eyes. With a bitter smile, she said, “You and your

mom are two different individuals. No matter how angry I am, I won't direct my hatred for her toward you. Of

course, I don't know if I can ever forgive her for what she did, but I won't put it on you. That, I'm sure of. It's just

that I might have a rough relationship with your mom from now on...”

Obviously, Avery would never forgive or forget what Allie did and act like nothing had happened.

Cayden pulled Avery into his embrace and whispered emotionally, “That's all right. All that matters is we're still

together.”

The next day, Cayden brought Avery back to the Moore residence. Before entering the house, they could already

hear Allie arguing with Lily. They also heard Jeffrey shouting over them occasionally.

Cayden furrowed his brows in annoyance when he heard that. I had no choice but to come here today. Otherwise, I

would never return to a house filled with arguments and resentment.

In the living room, Allie was arguing with Lily over trivial matters.

When Allie heard the door open, she turned right away and saw Cayden walking in. She was thrilled, to say the

least. However, she quickly spotted the huge diamond ring on Avery's ring finger.

Allie felt her heart sink into her stomach when she saw that. Did Cayden go behind our backs to marry that woman?
