Sebastian's head shot up when he heard that, and he looked upset. "Noelle is acting out, and you're just going along with it? When do you plan to stop putting off the wedding? Don't tellit's all Noelle's choice. Could Noelle still act this way if you didn't agree?" Sebastian was still feeling upset from seeing Xavier and Winter earlier. Winter, his granddaughter, had always had everything she could ever want, including plenty of love. She did not need anything from him, but Noelle was different. She had always been treated differently, and that made Sebastian feel even more unhappy with the Shaw family and his own daughter, Jade.
Charles was not upset by Sebastian's words. He just nodded. "You're right, Grandpa. I haven't handled things well. But Noelle is worried that if people find out about our marriage, they'll start causing trouble for me," Charles explained calmly. "You know I don't care about that stuff, or else I wouldn't have chosen to marry Noelle. But I think she needs a little more tto adjust to everything." Charles spoke at a steady pace, his confidence shining through. Sebastian, on the other hand, was getting impatient. "What if Noelle just won't listen? Her main issue isn't going away anytsoon. You can't change who you are." "Grandpa, believe me, it won't be long," Charles replied in a calm yet firm voice. "I don't pick fights I can't win." "Let's have Noelle cover. It's been a while since I've seen her," Sebastian said. He knew Charles had his own way of thinking and did not want to sway him. However, since Noelle was his granddaughter, he felt he needed to step in.
With a smile, Charles pulled out his phone and called Noelle.
Meanwhile, Noelle had just stepped out of the bathroom and bumped into Xavier. He was blocking the doorway, staring at her intently.
Feeling uneasy under Xavier's stare, Noelle's face turned even colder. "Step aside!" Xavier stood his ground. "Noelle, we need to talk!" "About what? There's nothing to talk about," Noelle snapped, making it clear she wanted nothing to do with him. "I said, step aside!" "No, Noelle know you still care aboutYou're here at my wedding with Winter, aren't you? If you didn't care, you wouldn't have shown up!" Xavier rambled on.
"Neelle, I really..."
