Jeremy entered the guest room and saw Corinne standing next. to the bed with her back against the door and
drying herself off with the towel.
Her unbuttoned shirt was half-hanging off her shoulders and from the back, he could see her beautiful collarbone,

want to argue with him while she was still wet so she turned around and went into the bathroom to take a hot
shower.
‘Why’s he lecturing me like that when I’m the victim here? Does he have no empathy at all?’ she wondered.

asked unhappily.
Corinne did not answer his question but instead rolled her eyes at him.
After that, still wrapped in her towel, she shuffled toward the bed, picked up the shopping bag, and then quickly
shuffled back to the bathroom. She made sure to lock the bathroom
door and only came out after she had dressed.
