“What if I don’t leave?” asked Jared. “Then death is the only solution here.” As soon as the zombie
finished speaking, negative energy began gathering at the tips of his fingers, transforming into a few
malicious spirits that lunge at Jared and the rest with bared fangs and brandished claws.
It was a shocking sight for everyone, and they quickly got into their fighting stance. None of them
expected the zombie to attack so soon .The malicious spirits were so fast that they arrived before them
in a flash.
Seeing that, the humans swung their weapons and attacked the malicious spirits, only to discover their
attacks brought no harm to the latter. Unexpectedly, the malicious spirits harmed no one. Instead, they
each flew into a person’s body.
In a flash, everyone went into a daze, and their weapons fell to the ground. Their eyes were dull and
lifeless as if they were corpses. A frown settled between Jared’s brows. He, too, could feel the

Thinking it was a form of illusion spell, Jared. began reciting the calming incantation, which did not
work. The malicious spirit continued to attack Jared’s spiritual sense.
“That’s an impressive move.” Jared frowned. He never expected the zombie would attack humans’
spiritual senses. A person would be considered dead once their spiritual sense was controlled because
they would obey every order given by the one in control, even if it meant. killing themselves.
Even the Martial Arts God and Martial Arts Sovereign at the scene could not fight back. The zombie
was in complete control of their spiritual sense. It was clear just how powerful the latter was.
Then again, it was only right for the zombie to be that powerful or it would not be able to restrain a
demon like Hadad, Jared paled and broke out in a cold sweat as his spiritual sense fought hard against
the zombie.
His body became incredibly stiff. He simply stood frozen to the ground while his mind worked at
immense speed. “This person’s spiritual soul is incredible. How is he able to hang on until now?”
The zombie could not help but feel shocked by the fact that Jared was still not under its control.
Nonetheless, it did not take long for Jared’s eyes to turn lifeless and his body sluggish. Even his aura
changed. It was as if he was a walking corpse.
The zombie broke out into a grin when he saw that. “No one can escape my attack. Since you’ve killed
my army, you guys will replace them, Guard the entrancel”
With that, the zombie vanished. Meanwhile, Matthew and the others stood on both sides of the
entrance as instructed. Jared, too, followed suit without uttering a word.
The only thing that made Jared different from the rest was that he was not controlled by the malicious
spirit. His spiritual sense was still fighting it.
When Jared and the malicious spirit were in a deadlock, a sacred light suddenly shone upon him. A
warmth flowed into Jared’s body, but the malicious spirit let out an agonizing scream.

Jared’s consciousness, causing the malicious spirit to scream in pain.
Sensing the opportunity, Jared quickly used his spiritual sense to kill the malicious spirit. Soon, Jared
returned to his normal state. The sensation he felt from the Wordless Tome’s light was absolutely
surreal. He never expected the item given by Arthur to have such power.
“Mr. Campbell? Great Diviner?” Jared called out, studying the two man’s faces. Alas, the two did not
respond. “Skyler? Archer?” Jared turned to the other two, who merely stood there without blinking like
statues. There was no response from them, no matter how Jared cried their names.
“Looks like killing that thing is the only way to save them,” muttered Jared with a frown. At that point,
Jared had to kill the zombie even if he did not want to. He could not let Matthew and the others turn into
the opponent’s puppets.
