Chapter 2526 Grateful

Emily nodded, and only then did she flash a faint smile.

“Jared, why don't I go with you to gather herbs? I'm familiar with the terrain here.”

Percy wanted to tag along with Jared to collect herbs.

In fact, he had another plan in mind, which was to learn some skills from Jared. If he could acquire

alchemy skills and become an alchemist, that would be great.

Jared could fathom Percy's intention, but he said, “Percy, you can come with me to gather herbs

another time. Ali and the others are hurt, so you should escort them back to the village for now.”

“Jared, please let Percy go with you. We've already left the Demon Wolves' territory, so there shouldn't

be any more danger. We can make it back on our own.” Ali also wished Percy could learn more from

Jared.

After all, Jared was an outsider who could leave Rock Village at any time. If Percy could become an

alchemist, he would become a significant asset to the village.

Hearing Ali's words, Jared agreed and left the party with Percy to collect some herbs.

As the spiritual energy of the Ethereal Realm was abundant, there were countless spiritual plants in the

mountains. Those plants would be priceless treasures in the mundane world, but in the Ethereal

Realm, they were no different from wild grasses, left unharvested.

Even though the mundane world's spiritual energy had been restored now, those spiritual plants

couldn't mature within a short period. Some spiritual plants required ten years or even a century to

grow.

“Percy, do you see this? This oval, light green leaf is called...” Jared explained to Percy as he gathered

the medicinal herbs.

He was merely imparting the latter with some fundamental knowledge for being an alchemist.

After all, there was no way for one to qualify as an alchemist if one couldn't differentiate between herbs.

Percy was a dedicated student. He remembered everything Jared had taught him after only one

explanation. Then, he started helping Jared to collect the herbs.

Before nightfall, Jared and Percy returned to Rock Village with many herbs.

Ali and the others had long since returned. Antonio had already arranged for others to help those

injured clean their wounds and apply a black ointment.

Those were folk remedies from Rock Village. Some people who couldn't afford medical treatment could

only apply those remedies to their wounds; whether they could heal was up to fate.

When Jared and Percy arrived at Rock Village, Antonio and all the villagers were waiting for them in

the village square.

At the sight of Jared's return, Antonio and everyone from Rock Village knelt before him.

“Mr. Chance, thank you for saving Rock Village!” Antonio uttered in agitation.

If Jared hadn't rescued Ali and the others, Rock Village would have lost its younger generations, and

their survival would become even more difficult.

“Mr. Antonio, what are you doing? Please stand up.” Jared hurriedly helped Antonio up and asked the

other villagers to get to their feet as well.

“Mr. Chance, if it weren't for you, Ali and the others wouldn't have made it back this time. Ali told me

everything. I didn't expect you to be an alchemist. You sure are adept at concealing your talents,”

Antonio said to Jared.

“This is my obligation. If it weren't for Rock Village, I probably would've died in the jungle.”

As Jared spoke, he took out all the Demon Wolf carcasses from his Storage Ring and said, “Mr.

Antonio, have someone deal with these carcasses. I'm going to craft some pills to speed up Ali and the

others' recovery.”

“Okay, all right, sure! Feel free to let us know if you need anything, Mr. Chance. Everyone at Rock

Village will be at your service from now on,” Antonio responded fervently.

Jared didn't ask for anything. He merely requested a pot and then hastened back to Emily's house to

start crafting pills in the courtyard.
