Chapter 1114 ‘Yvonne cried while her scarred hands gripped Zach's wrists. She spoke with much difficulty, “What are you talking about!? | don’t know what the hell you're talking about, Zach. When will you stop trying to hurt me? You're the reason I'm in this state now. Do you want to ruin my entire life, too?” Zach was utterly ruthless, which scared the nurses who dared not move. Zach stared at her furiously, “Do you really think | care about your life at all?” Zach grabbed her face and slammed her onto the table. He then grabbed hot boiling water and forced it into Yvonne’s mouth. Yvonne screamed as her hands flailed in the air.

Zach's hands were being scratched, but he tightened his grip.

Everyone watched on with horror as Yvonne went limp after struggling. When she was left with her last breath, Zach finally let her 1.

‘Yvonne slipped off the table slowly and laid on the floor, her eyes wide open. Zach was unfazed as he stared at her. Zach’s hands had also been scorched by the boiling water. Yvonne, whose throat was burning with agony, was currently unable to speak.

“Remember this pain,” Zach threatened her. He pulled a handkerchief out and wiped the water off his hands. The handkerchief was then thrown into the bin.

Then, Zach told Kevin, “I'm giving you a day to find out who set the fire and to send them to Ventropolis Prison.” Kevin obliged, “Yes, Mr. Jardin.” When Madelyn was pushed out of the ICU and transferred to a normal sick ward, it was already twelve midnight. Zach had stayed by her bed the whole night.

Searching for the person who set the fire was not difficult. Kevin found the fake nurse at an abandoned medical station in the hospital.

She had been sent to this medical station for making a mistake while caring for a patient, but no one had expected her to try and take revenge. Even after Kevin had sent her to Fred, she was still stubborn, but eventually, she had broken down and confessed to everything.

At the hospital, Kevin reported, “Mr. Jardin, this is her information.

She has a record of mental illness. She started to go mad after being placed under Fred's care for only half an hour. It turns out the mastermind had contacted her through her phone. We've tracked the source of the call, and it looked like it was sent by an illegal international organization.” Zach did not look at the files. Kevin continued his report, “We also found out that this person had accepted a sponsorship from Rosario and graduated from medical school. She suspected that Rosario’s death had something to do with us, which is why she made an attempt on Mrs. Jardin’s life.” Zach held onto Madelyn’s hand and then placed it under the blanket.

He stood up and walked to the window to light a cigarette. Then, Zach asked, “Is she still alive?” Kevin answered, “She’s barely alive.” Zach took a puff and kept silent for a while before saying, “Teach her a lesson, then release her.” Kevin knew Zach was letting her off easy because Rosario had worked for the Jent family for many years.
