Chapter 236 Nancy paused for a moment, her eyes fixed on the laid-back Michael, just as she was about to continue speaking.

"Nancy, what are you doing at the bar?" A flustered voice cut through the noise.

Recognizing the familiar voice, Nancy instinctively looked up and was immediately swept into the arms of a tall, handsman before she could say a word. The comforting scent of cedarwood enveloped her instantly.

Judson held Nancy so tightly that she could barely breathe.

"Judson, letgo." Judson's voice was tinged with a pout, "No way, Nancy. What are you doing in a bar? You're too pretty to be here alone-what if sguy starts hitting on you?" Michael, playing along, feigned surprise, "Wow, Judson, you hit the nail on the head!" "What did you say?" Judson's grip on Nancy's shoulders tightened as his gaze fell on the unfamiliar jacket she wore, his expression darkening.

"Nancy, whose jacket is this?" Instead of answering, Nancy shrugged off the jacket and handed it back to Michael.

Almost immediately, Judson took off his own coat and draped it around Nancy, his face hardening as he noticed her torn dress beneath.

"Mr. Ferguson, thanks for your help, but I'm not interested." Michael chuckled, "You don't have to like me, but you should watch out next time. You know who was behind this, right?" "Yeah," Nancy replied without a hint of surprise, "I figured it out as soon as Grey was targeted." The Green family was known for being secretive and complex. Meanwhile, Grey was connected to Malcolm, his brother. Although she had never met these people before, she was familiar with the rumors surrounding them.

Michael hadn't expected Nancy to be so forthright.

His eyes gleamed with intrigue, "Miss Lena, you're truly sharp. Just be careful with your collaboration with Ms. Iverson. I'm planning to host the new Little Golden Awards in two months." Nancy nodded earnestly, "Got it. Thanks for your help, Mr. Ferguson." Michael waved his hand dismissively, "I'll get going now. You and Judson should head back, be safe." Before Nancy could say anything, Michael was already walking away.

"Nancy, who was it? Just tell me, and I'll deal with them right now!" Judson's face was set with determination. Nancy studied Judson's face, curious, "Judson, did you send Michael over? Or were you two together?" It felt almost too perfect, as though Michael had shown up just to protect her.

Judson clearly disagreed with Nancy's suspicion, "Nancy, why would I arrange for Michael to play the hero'd have shown up before him if that were the case. I don't like that flashy guy, so stop changing the subject. Who was it?" Nancy wanted to argue but swallowed her words. If Judson had been with Michael, he would have arrived first.

Seeing Nancy's silence only made

Judson angrier, "Nancy, are you trying to pushaway again? said I'd stick with you but you refused and chere with Ramona Where is she?" Nancy pressed her lips together, recalling the sight of Ramona and Malcolm leaving. "Judson, cwith me..."

In the speeding car, Ramona sat with one leg crossed over the other, her hale edged with a sharpness.

smile "Malcolm, did you send those thugs to mess with Lena?"

Malcolm, sitting beside her, smiled smoothly, "Ramona, you need proof to make such claims. Besides, I have En no quarrel with Lena."
