Chapter 119:

Alice's lips twitched slightly.
"Who's the anxious one now?" | have muttered.
Three days ago, he had insisted that it was not about exchanging favors for sex.
And now, before anything had happened, he was already showing his intentions?
Caden noticed her firm expression and couldn't help but smile.
He had matured quickly.
In the past, even a few teasing words from him would make her blush. Now, she was able to maintain her
composure effortlessly.
He walked over and watched her as she cracked the eggs. “I'm just joking. No matter what, | wouldn't take
advantage of someone who isn’t feeling well.”
| have handed her the glass of water. “Drink this.”
Alice looked at the hot water with distrust.
"Why are you being so kind? You didn't take this from the toilet, did you?"
Caden looked at her, speechless.
| still couldn't forget that incident with the toilet water.
"If I hadn't caught you that day, were you really going to givetoilet water?" | have asked.
Guilt appeared on Alice's face for a brief moment.
“Do you really want to know the truth?” | have asked.
"Yeah."
Alice was reluctant to admit it. “I don't think I should say it.”
Caden's expression hardened.
“Are you really incapable of telling even a lie?” he said coldly.
Alice shrugged. “Liars are punished.”
“You won't be punished if you just tellthe truth,” Caden said.
Alice was silent for a moment.

Then he clicked his tongue. “See? If you don't want to hear my answer, then stop asking. You're just doing this
harder on yourself.”
Caden didn't respond.
He should have let her drown in the pool at the Gray family estate.
Then he looked at the bags of groceries nearby, not feeling any sympathy for her.
"Get started. | want five dishes and a soup."
Alice's eyes widened. "Five courses and a soup? At this hour?"
"If I don't finish it, | throw it away. | like five dishes and a soup. | think it's a complete meal."
Alice sighed, knowing he was upset. She cleared his throat, searching for a way to calm him down. “I was just
kidding. If | really disliked you, why would | chere to cook? | haven't even been discharged yet, and I'm not
at my full strength yet...”
“If you're really that weak, how cyou still have so much energy to argue?” Caden said, staring at her
blankly. “Get going. “You don’t have more than thirty minutes.”
With that, he turned around and walked away.
Alice stood there, stunned.
She looked at his back, gritting her teeth in frustration.
She wanted five dishes and a soup? She could dream on. There was no way she could earn that much. She would
have to eat whatever she decided to cook.
Just as she finished venting silently, she heard Caden's footsteps returning.
| have forced a smile, trying to smooth things over. “You were joking about all that, right?”
Caden picked up the glass of water, poured it into the sink, and looked at her with a blank face.
"You're overthinking it."
Alice couldn't believe it.
He really was incredibly mean.
After an hour of work, Alice finally put the plates on the table.
| had prepared stir-fried pork, a plate of shrimp, and a bowl of grapefruit slices.
The food was simple, but the dishes were colorful, aromatic, and full of flavor. It seemed more than enough for
Caden.
Caden realized there was only enough tableware for one person.
He looked at her and asked, "Aren't you eating?"
Alice shook her head. “I already had dinner before | chere.”
To demonstrate, he casually picked up a piece of grapefruit and popped it into his mouth.
Caden's gaze didn't change as he said, "Then get away from me. | don't want you ruining my appetite."
Alice was speechless.
It was impossible to deal with him.
She rolled her eyes, turned on her heel, and walked away with her head held high, refusing to let it get to her.
Suddenly Alice remembered something, turned around and picked up the plate of grapefruit.
He went into the living room and found a sofa. | touched it and noticed that the fabric was of high quality, but
too firm.
| sat down to try it and realized that it was not soft at all.
Unable to keep quiet, he asked, “Is this couch for cutting fruit? It's hard as a rock.”
Caden frowned, looking at the plate of grapefruit he was holding.
"You don't eat on the couch," he said.
Alicia looked down at the grapefruit in her hands.
“Okay,” | muttered.

The protagonist ran after her, refusing to let her go.
Caden grabbed a pillow for Alicia and gave it to her. Then he sat down beside her, watching the show without
saying a word.
Alice looked at the few pieces of grapefruit left on the plate. She felt too full to finish them.
“Do you want someone?” | have asked. “I saved them just for you.”
Caden leaned back on the couch.
He stretched out his arms lazily. “Only if you feed me.”
Alice's lips twitched, and she stood still. "I can't. My head hurts."
Caden glanced at her. “Are your hands connected to your head?”
"Yes," Alice replied, stuffing more grapefruit into her mouth defiantly.
Without warning, Caden leaned closer, pinning her beneath him.
