Chapter 1008 Break In
Blake was speechless hearing Alec's words. She didn't expect Jenny would decide to take
care of Evan for the rest of his life. If that was the case, she couldn't do anything about it.
"I can't possibly ask Jenny to give up on that idea, can I?” Blake started racking her brain
for a solution.
While she was nagging about the impossibility of it all internally, Alec suddenly spoke up.
"If you want me to help you take over the Watkins family, it's not entirely impossible.’
Upon hearing that, Blake's eyes lit up. "Are you agreeing to help me?" she asked.
"I can help you take control over the Watkins on the condition that I can successfully gain
control over the Fausts. So, you have to find a way for the Watkins to stir up some trouble,
do you know what I mean?"
Blake was stunned for a moment, but she soon understood what Alec was hinting at. The
Fausts were already in trouble, and giving them more trouble at this time would double the
pressure on Yakov and render him unable to cope with it all.

the New Year's. Bardoff City was covered in heavy snow, and Alec had to entertain clients
until late at night before returning home.
When he arrived at his apartment, he noticed Jenny's door was ajar. Jenny had been
staying at the hospital during this time and had hardly returned home, so it was strange to
see her door open.
"Jenny?" he called out as he walked toward the door.
No answer came from within the unit. That made Alec instantly alert, and he sobered up a
bit. He walked into the living room, which was lit up, but he didn't see anyone. There was
a sound coming from the bedroom. Alec frowned, mentally preparing himself for a fight
before heading there.
However, when he pushed open the door and saw Jenny, who was completely naked, he
was stunned and rooted to the spot.
Then, a loud scream sounded. Following that, a soft pillow hit Alec in the face, and he
didn't even try to dodge it.
"Sorry! Your door was open, so I thought someone had broken into your house!" he
explained hurriedly, then quickly averted his gaze. That was obviously unnecessary
because he’d already seen what he needed to see.
Jenny was speechless as she hastily got dressed.

She had gone into the bathroom to shower without grabbing her clothes earlier. Thinking it
was her home, she didn't care too much and walked out naked. She never expected Alec
to come in right at that time.
After getting dressed, she cleared her throat and asked, "Did I forget to close the door?"
"Yes, you did," Alec replied.
It was probably because she had come back in a hurry that she didn't exert enough
strength to close the door properly. She found that she couldn't blame Alec for walking in
on her.
"I see."
"Huh?" Alec didn't understand what she meant by that. Was she not angry anymore?
Turning his gaze back to Jenny, he saw she was already dressed, but her hair was still wet,
dripping with water.
"Why did you come back?" he asked.
"Evan has been discharged from the hospital," she replied and then took out a hair dryer
to dry her hair.
Alec followed her and took the hair dryer from her hand. "Let me help you," he said.
Jenny wanted to refuse, but in the end, she didn't. So, she sat there while Alec dried her
hair, and everything seemed great and surprisingly peaceful between them.
