Chapter: 518
No sooner had Lyla said that than Ariana slapped her hard across the face.
The slap was so hard that it could be heard from a few feet away. Ariana had put all her strength in that
slap. She hadn’t calmed down yet though and her whole body shook with anger. She didn’t mind Lyla
insulting her, but Alina was just a child.
How dare Lyla say such words? She couldn’t let this shameless woman attack an innocent child.
Lyla was stunned by the slap. She initially wanted to return the slap back, but the fierce look on
Ariana’s face discouraged her.

Doran for help.
Doran, who was still in a daze, came to his senses at this moment. He strode up to Ariana and grabbed
her collar firmly.
Although Doran looked frail, he was very strong. He held Ariana’s collar so tightly that she could hardly
breathe.
Alina screamed.
Doran was about to punch Ariana in the face but his arm was suddenly held and turned in the opposite
direction. The pain made him scream at once. “Ah, ah, ah! It hurts!”
Ariana didn’t understand what was happening. She suddenly noticed Theodore holding Doran’s arm
with a cold expression on his face.
Lyla spun around and her eyes widened as she saw the CEO of her company, Theodore.
How was this possible? Lyla was struggling to make sense of the situation. What’s he doing here?
Wait! The wheelchair? Did Ariana just push Theodore’s wheelchair away? Lyla was stunned and
bewildered. ©
Doran stumbled backward, reaching for his glasses, but when he saw the frail, disabled man before
him, he was unfazed and ready to charge forward. ©
Lyla quickly intervened, “Hold on, it’s just a misunderstanding.”

After pacifying Doran, Lyla tumed to Theodore and spoke with deference. “Mr. Anderson, what brings
you here? What a surprise…”
Theodore’s expression was as frigid as ice, and his silence sent shivers down Lyla’s spine. She
couldn’t bring herself to speak any further and eventually fell silent.
Disregarding Lyla, Theodore went to Ariana’s side to examine her. Thankfully, there were no injuries,
but one of her collar buttons had been ripped off.
As he picked up the button from the ground, Theodore’s expression grew more severe. Though he
didn’t say a word, the coldness in his eyes was enough to make anyone tremble.
“I’m okay,” Ariana reassured him, holding his hand and speaking softly.
Despite his stoic expression, Theodore’s actions were gentle as he helped her adjust her collar.
